Finnish food


Finnish food has got influence from Swedish food and East-Finland from Russian food.
Casual, but energetic food makes usually from for example root vegetables, which remain over the winter. Spices are used in general a little bit, but instead of salt well.

Finnish cuisine is extensive, distinctive and living wholeness. It, what and how we eat here in Finland, tells something about nature, society, history, identity and culture.
We Finns create our cuisine to our own daily choices.

Everyday food


Everyday food is quite simply. Most people eats daily vegetables and bread with food. Dairy products are important for Finnish people. Many people drinks milk or buttermilk with food. For example Yoghurt and soured whole milk are good breakfasts and sour creams are good for foods. The Finnish breakfast traditionally includes a substantial portion of porridge as well.
Porridges are often eaten with milk, sugar, butter or berry kissel.

In summer we eat small potatoes with herrings and grilled meat and sausages.

Traditional food


Fish and meat play a prominent role in traditional Finnish dishes in some parts of the country, while the dishes in others have traditionally included various vegetables and mushrooms. Refugees from Karelia contributed to foods in other parts of Finland.
Finnish foods often use wholemeal products and berries. Milk and it’s derivatives like buttermilk are commonly used as food, drink or in various recipes.

The most popular meats are pork, beef and chicken. Approximately one third of meat is eaten as sausage. Fish has always been an important protein source. Lakes in Finland gives opportunities for fishing. We have many ways to make fish food. Including frying, boiling, drying, salting, fermenting, cold smoking or simply slicing sea fish and eating it raw.


Dark and fiber-rich rye bread is a staple of the Finnish diet. Breads are made from grains like barley, oat, rye and wheat. There is also a variety of the flat breads called rieska. In Kainuu, North Finland, the flat breads are very flat and baked on naked flame.


Here are some examples for traditional Finnish food:


Karelian pasty (karjalanpiirakka)
Traditional Finnish dish made from a thin rye crust with a filling of rice. Eggbutter (munavoi), mixture of hard boiled egg and butter, is spread over the hot pastries before eating.

Bread cheese (leipäjuusto)
Oven-cooked cheese that squeaks when you bite into it. Best served hot with cloudberry jam.

Whipped lingonberry porridge (vispipuuro)
A cold whipped porridge, made with lingonberries and wheat semolina. Best served with milk and sugar.

Pea soup (hernekeitto)
Made from split peas. Someones put among some senap. Traditionally eaten on Thursdays with pork.

Gingerbread cookies (piparkakut)
Made with cinnamon and cardamon. Usually eaten around Christmas.

Fish pie (kalakukko)
Closed a thick rye bread crust containing fish.

Fruit soup (kiisseli)
A cross between berries, a berry soup and a berry jelly.

Bubble and squeak (pyttipannu)
Made from diced and fried potatoes, onions and sausages. Served with fried eggs.

Baked rye porridge (mämmi)
Traditional Easter porridge. This porridge containing strong molasses taste. Typically served with milk or cream.

Blood sausage (mustamakkara)
Made from pork, pig blood, rye seeds and flour. Served with lingonberry jam.

Hot pot (karjalanpaisti)
A beef, pork and lamb hot pot. Served with mashed potato and lingonberry jam.

Salt-cured salmon (graavilohi)
Salmon that has been cold cured. Spice with salt and fresh dill. Served for example with small potatoes in Christmas.

Summer soup (kesäkeitto)
Made from vegetables, carrots, potatoes, cauliflowers, peas and dill. Soup is made from milk and butter, flour thickening or processed cheese. Served with rye bread and some cheese.

Sauteéd reindeer (poronkäristys)
Best known traditional meal from Lapland. Reindeer’s meal spiced with black pepper and salt, and finally some water, cream, or beer is added. Served with mashed potatoes and lingonberries.

Storyline/plot

This film is passed on ghosts. This group tried to catch ghosts and save the world. Four man is back to hunt ghosts, in part 2. Ghostbuster business is not going well. They need to do some birthday party’s. Soon Dana’s (Weaver) baby almost died strange accident, and ghostbusters take to investigate the case. Soon it comes clear that ancient ruler, Vigo von Homburg Deutschendorf is re-emerging.
Soon they find New York’s drains slime, anger can be find in the shape of slime. Dana (Weaver) works at the museum. One painting try to come to world. Painting enchants Janosz (MacNicol) to serve him. So Janosz try to stole Dana’s baby. Ghostbusters find some pink slime under New York. Pink slime respond to speech and music. The painting need pink slime to lead world. He try to come inside Dana’s baby. Pink slime send some ghost, like titanic and all the dead ones in titanic to New York. Ghostbusters need to win the painting and pink slime, also save Dana’s baby.

Scriptwriter and Director
Both ghostbusters wrote Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. Director of this movie was Ivan Reitman. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis are also actors in this film and many others. Premiere was 16.6.1989.  
Dan Aykroyd is now 62 years old. He was born 1.7.1952 in Ottawa, Kanada. He has been active since 1974 and he is just going on. He has career as a scriptwriter, actor, comedian and musician. He has been oscar candidate, driving miss Daisy.
    Harold Ramis is also actor, scriptwriter, director and producer. He was born 21.11.1944 in Chicago, Illinois. He died 24.2.2014, Chicago. He has been active between 1969-2010. 2004 he got a star in walk of fame. His last movie was Year one, it was made 2009.
    Ivan Reitman is now 68 years old. He was born 27.10.1946, in now called Slovakia. He is productor and director. He wrote one movie. He has been active since 1968 and he still directs some movies, not as many as he did before.

Review
I think this movie was really good. I recommend this movie over 10 years old people, because it is a bit scary. This movie is comedy. Target group on this movie was over 12 years old. I think my favorite persons in this movie were Will and Hank Deutschendorf: The babies. My favorite scene was when the baby stands in the window ledge.
