Teemu Selänne

Teemu Selänne is a finnish ice hockey player, who born 3.7.1970 in Helsinki. Selänne plays right winger in hockey. Teemu Selänne started ice hockey in Espoon palloseura, and when he was fifteen he moved to Jokerit. Four years later Selänne rose to the senior team of Jokerit, who played at the time at first division. In the past season Selänne did 66 powerpoints in 33 matches and preformed in the Youth European Championship so Winnipeg Jets select him with their first round pick 10th overall. Selänne started the next season in Jokerit strongly but his leg was broken in a match against JYP. Selänne got a plaster from his toes to his groin for three months and he had to learn some foot trajectories. After that Selänne returned to SM-league and leaded Jokerit to victory.Selänne moved to Winnipeg and played a great season in NHL and broke the goal record of recruits. Winnipeg had to sell Selänne to Anaheim Ducks couse of the economic situation of the team. In Ducks Selänne was the best of the best in NHL. Teemu played six years in Anaheim where he moved to San Jose Sharks. San Jose reached the playoffs, but lost to Colorado Avalanche where Selänne moved couse intervals with the coach wasnt good. The season with Colorado was a dissapointment when Selänne scored only 32 powerpoints in 32 matches. Season 2004-2005 was canceled by lockout and Selänne had his chance to operate his knee witch has hampered his gaming in the past season. After the knee surgery Teemu went back to Ducks and preformed well. Hän pelaa edelleenkin Anaheim Duckseissa. Teemu Selänne is the historys best finnish NHL scorer. Teemu Selänne has won the Stanley Cup once in Anaheim Ducks. He has also won many Olympic and World Championship medals. Selänne has a wife called Sirpa and they have four children. He also has two brothers.
